With the mechanical routine lives that we lead, we tend to overlook many things..!! When was the last time you enjoyed a sunrise, enjoyed a cup of tea at leisure without the haste of reading the entire newspaper in one go, actually tasted and relished your breakfast before leaving for work..!! Well the last time i enjoyed a sunrise was when i was on a holiday..!! And when holiday was over sunrise was just out of the window and i saw myself running like a time bound robot doing my regular routine.
It’s time we prioritized over our career and academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced & successful life. I used the word balanced before successful, because balanced means ensuring that your health, relationships and mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your break-up. There is no fun in driving in driving the most expensive & lavish car, if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable, if your mind is full of tensions. Life like is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls there is no point in coming first...same is with life, where health & relationships are the marbles. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive will start to die. One thing about nurturing the spark- don't take life too seriously, it’s not meant to be taken so seriously as we all are temporary here. We are like a prepaid card with limited validity. If we're lucky we may last another 50 years...and 50 years is just 2500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? It's ok, bunk a few classes, it’s ok if you scored low in few subjects, no hassles if you goofed up few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love, indulge in little healthy fights with your spouse. Realize that we are humans and not programmed devices..!!
Don't be serious, but be sincere..!!
Always remember God gave us nothing we wanted, but he gave us everything that we needed....!!!!
